yu ♥ galvin la chapelle!!!

"galvin la chapelle"located in heart of spitalfields, galvin brothers new restaurant...actually opened while ago...has honoured 1 michelin start. yu was invited to press lunch by four marketing head of press sophie holmes. this old chapel conversion french restaurant offers lunch and early dinner prix fixe menu as same as other brunch. but they decided to go for more attractive a la carte...yu ordered terrine and sophie picked their speciality of "Lasagne of Dorset crab, velouté of chanterelle mushrooms" which has very airy light texture. and for main, yu had signature dish of "Tagine of Bresse pigeon, cous cous, aubergine purée & harissa sauce", so many flavours in one dish but compliment each other!, and sophie picked "Breast of Landaise chicken, potage of leeks & foie gras, truffle & parmesan gnocchi". both of this were just amazing! Blueberry soufflé & coulis, milk ice cream and Chilled Valrhona chocolate fondant,banana yoghurt ice cream & honeycomb for after lunch refreshment. beautiful dishes and wonderful building...heavenly!
