everyone had left...yu masui left alone in marrakech...oh well, it didn't matter!! now yu moved to new room which kiyoko was using. so cute!!

みんな帰ってしまった。。。マスイユウはマラケシュで独りぼっち。。。まっ、いいか。とりあえず、キヨコさんが使っていたかわいい部屋に移動。

yu ♥ earth cafe? morocco day6-3

as ellen doesn't eat red meat, we headed to another lunch place "earth cafe". earth cafe serves vegetarian&vegan food. so it won't be yu's favourite place. we were recommended this place by local vegetarian. and ellen was keen on visiting. cafe was so vegetarian...doco, music...everything...it is typical vegetarian place you can imagine...menu is written on the mirror...it was very hard to see...and food wasn't moroccan at all. it was just a vegetarian place...as ellen was expecting so much about vegetarian couscous...she seemed really disappointed. however they can get very fresh food in morocco. foods look good.

エレンは赤肉を食べないので彼女のために次のランチ『アースカフェ』に向かった。アースカフェはベジタリアンとビーガン料理をサーブする。もちろんマスイユウのお気に入りになることは絶対にない。アースカフェはローカルのベジタリアンが教えてくれた。エレンの行きたいところリストでは上位だったようだ。カフェはいかにもベジタリアンな雰囲気だった。。。デコも音楽も全てが。。。本当にいわゆる誰もが想像するベジタリアンレストラン。メニューは鏡に書かれ非常に見にくい。その上、全くモロッコ料理がない。ただのベジフードだ。エレンはベジタリアンクスクスを期待していたようだったので残念そうだった。しかしながら、モロッコではフレッシュな食材が手に入るので料理はおいしそうだった。

yu ♥ local canteen! morocco day6-2

middle of last minutes shopping. we found local canteen serving "tangia". "tangia" is stew cocked with cray vase in oven. this restaurant also serves simple roasted goats. meat was really plain but you eat with spiced salt. it seems roast was the popular one among locals. and their tea was specially blended mint tea. quite spicy but full of flavour. yu loves this canteen foods were nice, they were quite strong as they were goats, and deco was so pretty, too!!

帰国前のラストミニッツショッピングの途中に見つけたのは、トラディショナルなシチュー『タンジア』を出す食堂だった。タンジアは焼き物の壷をオーブンにいれ時間をかけて作る料理だ。また、こちらではシンプルなローストゴートもサーブしていた。プレーンな味だが添えられたスパイスソルトと一緒に食べると美味い。ローカルはみんなこちらを食べていた。そして、フィナーレはスペシャルブレンドのミントティーだ。スパイシーだが色々なフレーバーがあいまっている。ゴートなので臭みはあるがマスイユウのお気に入りの１つに間違えない、デコもかわいいし。

yu ♥ tagine burger! morocco day5-4

it seems everyone enjoyed last dinner of the trip...but it hadn't finished yet...still hungry yu masui left everyone behind and looked for more interesting food...and yu found mcdonald's...earlier we were jorking about their manu. ellen said there must be "tagine burger". yu walked into mac...as they eat beef, menu was normal...such a disappointment...wait a minute...mcarabia?...tagine burger?...YES! there was "tagine burger" exist as special menu. yu's sure it is for limited period. yu couldn't wait show them to everyone and see their surprised face!! yu bought 2 of them! taste...it was ok...nothing amazing or surprising but patty was seasoned with cumin&coriander.

皆、モロッコでも最後のディナーを楽しんだようだ。。。しかし、まだ終ってはいない。。。まだお腹がすいているマスイユウは仲間を離れ、更なるフードハンティングに出かけた。。。そして見つけたのは庶民の味方『マクドナルド』だ。そう言えばマックのメニューについてジョークを言っていた。。。エレンは絶対に『タジーンバーガー』があると笑っていたが。。。マスイが店に入ってみると、メニューは結構普通だ。牛肉を食べる国なのであまり違いがない。。。残念。。。と思いきや、メニューに目をこらすと。。。マックアラビックの文字が。。。その横には『タジーンバーガー』と書いてある。。。タジーンバーガーは存在した。でも、スペシャルメニューっぽい。早くみんなに見せたい、驚く顔が見たい。とりあえず、２個購入した。味？。。。悪くはない。。。お肉はクミンとコリアンダーで味付けされていた。

yu ♥ forgotten city! morocco day5-2

today yu&friends were traveling to south. as we tried to get forgotten city&oasis city of quarzazate, we had to leave hotel at 6:30am. to get there, we needed to go thru mountains of atlas which is pretty long way...we were expecting 4&half hours to be at forgotten city. 1hour drive from marrakech our car started to climb up mountain...atlas mountains have so many different faces as each mountains were formed by different kind of muds. some of them are green-ish colour, some are red, some are grey and brown...etc, sometimes covered by trees...it seemed this street was one of the main road to south...even very hard and curvy mountain road, there are many villages exist along side of river. atlas mountains are so beautiful!! yu is not nature person but he was so exited just looking at them. after 3&half hours drive we pasted mountain...area became more sandy...we were getting close to desert...and suddenly we found local market, only market around this area and open weds...we stopped. they sell mainly daily stuff...tea-pot, dishes, some made in chinese clothes and meat...even freshly prepared "there" chickens. it didn't seem there was nothing to buy...we continued trip...half hour drive from market forgotten city "ksar of ait-ben-haddou" suddenly appeared from behind of hills. it was amazing view...driver stopped at car park and we started to walk to the city. to get to there we have to across shallow river with no bridge. city looked really great from outside!! but inside was full of souvenir shops...it is supposed to be UNESCO world heritage listed...buildings are so beautiful but yu was so disappointed about those people tried to sell rubbishy souvenirs in the great heritage. however view from top of the hill was brilliant! on the way down tour guide from other party spoke to kiyoko. we thought she found new love! finally party returned to car park. now time to head to even more south. another 1hour drive we got to oasis city of , gate to the dessert. we stopped at , palace for the last sultan for atlas. and we found this city was famous for "films". there was a big film studio there and many movies such as star wars, babel, gladiator...etc were filmed in desert outside of ...there was abounded film set. now we were ready to get back to marrakech...still had more than 5hours drive!!

本日、マスイユウ一行は南へと旅立った。忘れられた街『アイト−ベン−ハドゥー』とオアシスの街『クアルザザート』に行くには朝6時半にホテルを出発しなければいけなかった。南に向かうにはアトラス山脈の長い道のりを越えなければならない。予定時間は4時間半。マラケシュから1時間ほど走るとアトラスの山に突入した。。。アトラスの山々はいろいろな顔を持つ。それはいろいろな地層で作られているからだ。時にはミドリ、赤、グレー、そして茶色。。。木々に包まれていることもある。この道は南に向かう唯一の道らしくカーブや傾斜がきついのに車両が非常に多い。そして川沿いには村々が点在する。アトラス山脈は本当に美しい！ただ見ているだけでウキウキさせてくれる。山に入ってから３時間半ついに抜けた。。。砂っぽい。。。砂漠に地下随て来た証拠だろう。。。するといきなりマーケットが現れた。毎週水曜日にローカルたちが集まるマーケットらしい。もちろんストップ。基本的には日用雑貨を売っていた。ティーポット、お皿、中国製の服に肉。。。その場で捌いたフレッシュなチキンもあった。あまり買う物はなさそうなので旅に戻った。30分もすると丘の陰から忘れられた街が現れた。壮観だ。ドライバーが駐車場に車を止め、歩き始めた。街に入るには橋のない浅い川を渡らなければならない。外からの眺めは本当に美しかった。。。中にははっきり言って失望した。。。美しい町並みにはゴミの様なお土産物屋が溢れ、客引きもうっとうしい。。。ユネスコの世界遺産に登録されているはずだが。。。本当にコレでいいのか？それでも丘の上からの眺めはすばらしかった。丘をくだり始めると違うグループのガイドがキヨコさんに話しかけていた。ついに新しい『ラブ』が生まれるのか?!やっと駐車場に到着、さらに南『クオルザザート』に出発だ。１時間ほど走ると砂漠へのゲート、オアシスの街についた。結構大きな都市だ。とりあえず、アトラス最後のサルタンのパレスで下車。そしてこの街が映画で有名なことを知る。街には大きな映画スタジオがあり、近隣の砂漠では『スターウォーズ』や『バベル』、『グラディエーター』などの映画が撮影された。スタジオ裏の砂漠には映画のセットが放置されていた。。。さて、そろそろマラケシュに戻る時間だ。ココから5時間以上かかる。。。

yu ♥ market food! morocco day5-3

after long trip we decided to eat at the food market which opens at place jamaa el fnna only at night. it is very pretty view. local version of place de concorde kinda beautiful lights. however inside...everyone is very forceful&tried to get customer too hard just like market&small shops...they speaks any kind of languages and use their knowledge of countries as much as possible. in fact they do know all gags from japanese comedian, even too new for yu to know,&from funny to nasty words...quite impressive and yu really thinks if they should use research ability for something else, they ccould make more money...anyway, they are aggressive...everyone think it is ok but we don't need rude words in our language from them...but there was cool one! our friend susie who lived in morocco recommend us "next to 81". actually it was "no.72"! they'd never tried too hard. guess they don't have to...they have loyal customers. menu was very simple 2 kind of pea stews&chicken stew. peas are 6dh, £0.50, and chicken is 15dh, £1.25, ONLY!! and bread is 1dh...all yu's vege lover companions enjoyed pea stew but yu prefer chicken. all dish was great!! still hungry yu masui continued to explore food stalls and found escargo. it was simply boiled. but they seemed boiled alive as all of their body were out...not like french style...quite scary...obviously anyone except yu didn't eat...it was very earth taste...not something yu wants to eat again...

長い旅路のあとマラケシュに戻った一行はジャマ・エル・フナ広場のによるみ出現する屋台街で夕食をとることにした。遠くから見る屋台街はまるでコンコルド広場の明かりの様で美しかった。しかし、一歩足を踏み入れるとそこは客引きの嵐。。。その上、マーケットの店屋小さな商店のようにしつこく無理矢理。。。彼らはあらゆる言葉い、知る限りの知識を使う。新しすぎてマスイも知らない様な日本人コメディアンのギャグや面白い言葉からかマリよろしくない言葉まで知っている。。。コレに関してはすばらしいと思うが、そのリサーチ能力を他のことに使えばもっとお金になるだろうに。。。とにかく、アグレッシブで嫌気がさす。。。その上、断ると汚い言葉を吐くことが多々。。。しかし、中には落ち着いた人々も居る。モロッコに住むスージーからすすめられた『81番の隣り』だ。実際には『72番』！彼らは客引きなどしない。自分たちの顧客を持っているからであろう。その上、話すと凄くフレンドリー。メニューもとてもシンプルだ。お豆のシチューが2種類とチキンのシチューだけ。値段は驚きのお豆が6dh（50ペンス）そしてチキンが15dh（1ポンド25ペンス）、パンは1dh!!野菜好きの皆様はお豆シチューに大満足だがマスイはチキン派。でも、どれもおいしかった！喰い足りないないマスイは屋台をさらいに散策。エスカルゴを発見！エスカルゴはただ煮ただけ。でも、生きたたまま煮込まれたらしく、どれも体が出ていてえぐい。マスイユウ意外は誰も口にしなかった。ガーリックバターに慣れているせいか、土臭くてあまりおいしくはなかった。

探検者マスイユウは今日もサファリルックに身を包んだ。ミキ・フカイのシルクのシャツプレースーツはマスイユウのお気に入りの一つ。色違いで４つ持っております。

yu ♥ bday dinner! morocco day4-5

it had been perfect...you thought it would be perfect birthday trip...it would be perfect birthday dinner...we supposed to have dinner at posh moroccan restaurant "le tabsil". BUT...they are closed on tuesdays!! this restaurant sounded perfect...great venue&amazing food....so andres had to look for other restaurant...and he asked yu "food" or "interior"...so yu answered "both"...it was wrong answer...there was 2 choice 1 was moroccan, another one is french-moroccan fusion in 20s colonial building. so we were headed to french-moroccan restaurant, supposed to be good according to ny times. it was colonial style building but they didn't seem they redesigned the placed well...food? it supposed to be french-moroccan fusion but turned up to be french-ish menu with 1 tagine...even it wasn't regular menu...monkfish carpaccio which kiyoko had&bead salad was ok. yu's prawn&artichoke tartar was terrible...i could cook better than that. rabbit&carrot tagine was ok, too. but perfect yu's concept as yu was LV bunny ear! yu was eating friends...desserts were average yu ordered cream caramel, profiterole and fondant chocolat. so greedy!! to be honest, restaurant wasn't good...also so unlucky "le tabsil" was closed. however yu was really appreciated that andres tried to sort out yu's bday dinner so hard...and even he was thinking he ruined my special dinner...yu loves andres and thanks him somuch!! also end of the night everyone bought fancy moroccan sweet instead of bday cake! anyway, it was amazing best friends were there with yu in far country...

ずっとパーフェクトだった。。。マスイユウは絶対にパーフェクトなバースデー旅行になるし、バースデーディナーになると思っていた。。。高級モロッコ料理店『ル・タブシル』で食事を行なう予定だったが、火曜日が定休日なのが発覚！『ル・タブシル』はパーフェクトだった。。。美しいインテリアにすばらしい食事。。。故にアンドレスは違うレストランを探さなければならなくなった。。。アンドレスは『食事』か？『インテリア』か？と聞いて来たのでつかさず『両方』と答えた。。。答えを間違えた。。。一つはモロッコ料理、もう一つは20年代コロニアルスタイルの建物のフレンチモロッコフュージョン。後者に行くことになった。ニューヨークタイムズによると『おいしい』はずのレストラン。。。確かにコロニアルスタイルだけど、あまりリデザインが上手く行ってないようす。。。食べ物？フレンチモロッコフュージョンのはずだったが実際にはフレンチ風。。。今日のスペシャルでタジーンが一つあったけど。。。キヨコさんの食べた『アンコウのカルパッチョ』と『お豆のサラダ』は悪くなかった。マスイユウのスターター『小エビとアーティチョークのタルタル』は最悪だった。。。自分で作った方が全然おいしい。『ウサギとにんじんのタジーン』はまあまあ、でもヴィトンのウサギをつけていたのでコンセプトにぴったり！まさしく『共食い』。。。デザートは普通だった、マスイは『クリームキャラメル』と『プロフィテロール』、『フォンダンショコラ』を貪欲に食べ尽くした。はっきり言ってレストランは良くなかったし、『ル・タブシル』がお休みだったのはアンラッキーだった。。。でも、一生懸命ディナーをオーガナイズしてくれたアンドレスに感謝している。。。アンドレスはユウのスペシャルディナーをめちゃくちゃにしたと心を痛めていたけど。。。でもアンドレスに本当に感謝！あと、締めくくりにはバースデーケーキの代わりにファンシーなモロッコスイーツが登場した！それにしても、ベストフレンドが遠い国で一緒にバースデーを祝ってくれたのでそれだけで十分。。。十分？やっぱり、おいしいところが良かった!!
