finally, yu'd got a chance to go to "le tabsil", posh moroccan restaurant we supposed to go for yu's bday dinner. le tabsil is located in medina just afew minutes walk from richard branson's sister vanessa's "riad el finn". yu wouldn't expect such a nice restaurant exist in dark small alleyaway. once knocked closed heavy door, servant opened the door. dinning area spread in beautiful decorated courtyard&small rooms. soon found live music had been playing. atmosphere is just fantastic! yu got seated but no menu...they offer fix menu. appetizer, starter, 2 mains, 2 dessert and bottle of wine&beverage are included in 600dh menu. starter was assort of moroccan salad. so many different kind and really big portion. but all taste so good!! yu ate a lot...really worried if he could finish entire course...then first tagine followed. it was small chicken tagine. chicken was so soft and perfectly cocked...after pleasure of beautiful chicken, lamb tagine arrived...so tender...no need to use knife....lamb tagine was served with vegetable couscous...stewed veges were so juicy and couscous had sucked up all juice from veges&vegetable soup came with couscous which was very fair seasoned&mixed with oil...yu bet this was the kind of vegetable couscous ellen wanted to eat...cos in morocco vegetable couscous can be cooked with lamb stock...food heaven continued...first dessert was poached sweet pear. cinnamon&clove brought beautiful flavour on pear. finally wheaty chocolate cake was served with mint tea....whole dinner was just amazing...yu ate so much food...even compared with price...that amount of quality foods and bottle of wine is quite reasonable. however yu really wishes everyone was with him and had bday dinner there...
ついにマスイユウは誕生日に行くはずだった高級モロッコ料理店『ル・タブジル』に行くことになった。ル・タブジルはリチャード・ブランソンの妹、ヴァネッサの『リアド・アル・フィン』からすぐそばのメディナの中にある。暗く狭い通りの奥にいいレストランがあるとは想像できない。閉ざされた重い扉をノックするとサーバントが開けてくれた。ダイニングスペースは美しくデコレートされたコートヤードと小さな部屋へと続いた。そしてすぐにトラディショナルなライブ音楽が演奏されているのに気付く。完璧な空気感だ。席に着いたがメニューは来ない。。。コースは１つしか用意されていない。600dhのメニューには前菜、スターター、メインとして２種類のタジーン、２種類のデザートそしてボトルワインとソフトドリンクが含まれる。スターターはモロッコサラダセレクション。それも何種類もが大量に出てくる。おかわりまできかれた。でも、ちゃんとおいしい。もちろん、欲張りなマスイは食べ過ぎた。。。はたして全てのコースを終らせることが出来るのか？そして１つ目のタジーンが登場。『小さなチキンのタジーン』だ。チキンはソフトでパーフェクトに調理されたいた。１つ目のタジーン美味さに浸っていると２つ目のタジーンが運ばれて来た。『ラムのタジーン』だ。ナイフを使わなくていいほど柔らかい。ラムのタジーンは野菜のクスクスとサーブされた。肌理の細かいクスクスは野菜シチューのジュースとオイルとミックスされた野菜スープを吸ってさらにうまみを増していた。。。多分コレがエレンの食べたがっていた野菜クスクスに違いない。。。結構な野菜クスクスがラムのストックで作られているのでベジタリアンは満足していないようだ。。。とりあえず写メを送っておいた。。。食べ物天国は続く。１つ目のデザートは洋梨の甘煮だ。シナモンとクローブが洋梨の味を引き立てる。そして最後にウィートがたっぷりのチョコレートケーキがミントティーと一緒にサーブされた。。。本当にすばらしい食事だった。。。満足！食べ物の量やクオリティ、ボトルワインを考えるとこのお値段は悪くはない。。。ただ、みんなでお誕生日に来たかった。。。
